Part 1 Celebration Performance (Gukak Prodigy Performance)

  • 'Yeongjae Haneumhoe' is part of various traditional arts projects supported by Crown Haitai, such as the Rakeum Gukak Orchestra and Dongrak Yeonheegwan, contributing to the discovery and nurturing of Gukak talent.

Part 2 Celebration Performance (Fusion Gukak Concert) / Shinhanak Band

  • Shinhanak, centered around Gukak musician Min Yeong-chi, pioneers the World Music genre, interpreting Korea's traditional music with a jazz trio.
  • Attempted World Music that fuses Gukak and Jazz in Japan and Korea since 2012.
  • Engaged in various activities, including World Jazz Festivals and World Music events, in both Korea and Japan.

  • Gukak Orchestra: Spirit of Goguryeo

    • A piece that expresses the enterprising spirit of Goguryeo through the magnificent scale created by a synthesizer and percussion instruments, based on the Dongsalpuri rhythm.
  • 『Gukak Song (Baeddwieora)』 / Song by Jeon Myeong-shin

    • Baeddwieora is a Neo-minyo style song composed by Park Bum-hoon, based on a poem by Gu Hee-seo. It begins with an introduction expressing the desire to launch a ship symbolically representing the Korean nation with hope, and depicts the ship surging forward across the waves.
  • 『Heungtaryeong · Naenara Naegyeore』 / Jung Kyoung (Baritone), Ji Hyun-ah (Sori)

    • The Southern Folk Song (Namdo Minyo) Heungtaryeong is a representative song that shows the antithetical life philosophy of the Korean people, who have managed sadness with laughter.
    • Naenara Naegyeore is a song whose atmosphere changes depending on the style of the singer; it suits both a powerful style and a quiet style like that of Kim Min-ki.
  • 『Jillekkot (Wild Rose) · Kkotgugyeong (Flower Viewing) · Bomnareun Ganda (Spring Days Go)』 / Jang Sa-ik

    • Jillekkot is a song that comforts the pain of the people who lost their country during the Japanese colonial period.
    • Kkotgugyeong sings about the cycle and transience of life through the blooming and wilting of flowers, with nature as its theme.
    • Bomnareun Ganda reflects the difficult national sentiment immediately after the Korean War and expresses the futility of a vow of love while waiting for a lover whose return is uncertain.
